Iran and Afghanistan emphasized expansion of commercial information exchange as well as facilitation of trade between the two countries.
In a meeting between deputy head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, Ali Hushmandimanesh, and head of Afghanistan`s Export Promotion Agency, Suleyman Fatemi, the Afghan side announced that Iran is the greatest trade partner of his country.
Referring to the numerous historical and religious commonalities between the two sides, Ali Hushmandimanesh called for establishment of joint database, adding that Iran tries to make new initiative on visa issuance for Afghan tradesmen and merchants.
Suleyman Fatemi for his part emphasized on expansion of economic ties with Iran.
"It is the voice of Afghan state and nation: Iran should replace Pakistan as Afghanistan`s greatest trade partner", he said.
He also voiced interest in Iran`s trade administrative, informational and communicational experiences.
