The trade exchange between Iran and Turkey during the last 8 months has increased by 41.71 percent valued at 7 billion and 217 million and 298 thousand dollars.
During the Iranian President`s visit to Turkey in summer, the two countries decided to increase their target trade to $20 billion in the current year and statistics issued by Ankara indicates that the bilateral trade is growing in lines with the goal, IRNA reported.
What in commercial interactions between Iran and Turkey attracts more attention is the high growth of Turkey`s exports to Iran.
Only during the August, commercial interactions between the two countries reached 1 billion and 65 million and 144 thousand dollars showing a 67 percent increase over the dame period last year in which the figure stood at 635 million and 542 thousand dollars.
In other words it should be mentioned that Iran-Turkey trade during one month has exceeded 1 billion dollar and it shows that the annual trade of the two countries will easily exceed $10 billion.
Turkey`s exports to Iran in August valued at 144 million and 909 thousand dollars showing a 28.7 percent increase over the same period last year.
Turkey`s 8-month exports to Iran also stand at 1 billion and 350 million and 944 thousand dollars showing a 65.6 percent growth compared with the last year.
Iran`s August exports to Turkey has also has reached 920 million and 235 thousand dollars showing a 76 percent growth over the last year.
The Islamic Republic`s 8-month exports to the neighboring country also indicate a 37.2 percent growth valued at 5 billion and 866 million and 354 thousand dollars.
Based on the report, Iran`s exports to and imports from Turkey in 2007 are valued at 6billion and 613 million and 791 thousand dollars; and 1 billion and 386 million and 935 thousand dollars, respectively.
