The value of Iran's saffron exports increased 20 percent during the first half of the current Iran calendar year (started March 21).
Iran's saffron export valued at $58.7 million in the first half the current year, while the figure stood at $46 million in the same time last year, Iran Trade Development Organization's speaker said in an interview with Moj News Agency.
"The figure shows 20 percent growth," Alireza Shojaei added.
He said that Iran's saffron was sold $2,779 per kilo gram.
Referring to the proper rainfall and remarkable saffron production in the current year, Shojaei said that Iran's saffron exports will remarkably increase by the end of the year.
